Family Life

Family Camp
For many people, this is the quintessential part of their summer relaxation and reflection. As many as 100 parishioners gather over a two-week period at a private site on the Eel River in Garberville (200 miles north of Walnut Creek) for daily conversation, recreation, sharing of meals, chores, campfires and singing, bridge, crafts for all ages and Sunday service. It is an all-generation gathering that provides a refreshing getaway for all, and an opportunity to get to know other parishioners better. Many newcomers have attended and become faithful Eel River fans.

Family Groups
Family group fellowship meets periodically as a social gathering for parents and children, often with a meal. A family fellowship newsletter, a new baby ministry (meals and other services for families following a birth) are other services offered to families.

Ministry of Mothers Sharing
Ministry of Mothers Sharing offers mothers with children at home (infant to teenager) a chance to meet weekly to discuss and reflect on their own spirituality.
